The Moree Boars collected two wins against the Narrabri Blues at Boughton Oval on Sunday, with first grade continuing its strong 2026 campaign with a 42–30 victory.
Daniel Smith, Jock Brazel and Adrian Smith each crossed twice for Moree, while Brent McDonald and Jake Tighe also scored tries. Adrian Smith added five successful conversions as the Boars finished with 42 points.
Narrabri scored six tries, including doubles to Asivorosi Turagalevu and Kaylan Murray, with Jacob Nichols and Thomas Bruce also crossing. Bruce kicked three conversions.
The result took Moree first grade’s season record to 12 wins and one loss from 13 matches, with the Boars having scored 588 points and conceded 212 through Round 13.
Reserve grade also produced a convincing result, defeating Narrabri 54–6 earlier in the afternoon.
Jacob Robinson and Cody Picker scored two tries apiece, with Rhys Smith, Guy Bayley, Anthony Smith, Jenson Brazel, Liam Mcclure, Jade Girard and Corey Ricketts also finding the line. Shannon Hippi kicked five conversions.
Narrabri’s points came through a Patrick Hubbard try and Brodie Heron conversion.
The reserve grade result improved Moree’s record to nine wins, one draw and one loss from 11 matches. The side has scored 380 points and conceded 176 this season.
Moree’s women’s tackle side had the bye in Round 13 and remains on four wins and four losses from eight matches.
The Boars now have one regular-season round remaining before the Group 4 finals. Moree will travel to Jubilee Oval, Boggabri, to face Boggabri on Sunday, August 16.
