Rhodes Kildea overcame a three-player disadvantage to defeat Dave’s Platinum Tinting 4-1 in weekend hockey action.
With eight players available to Rhodes Kildea’s five, Dave’s appeared to have the advantage on paper, but an early goal from each side kept the contest evenly poised through to half-time.
Rhodes Kildea took control in the second half, adding three more goals before the final whistle. Max Mitchell and Sam Dunlop scored two goals each for the winning side, while Paul Murphy scored Dave’s Platinum Tinting’s lone goal.
Competition leaders Rabbit Hop Films faced second-placed Cogan’s Agronomy in the second match of the morning.
Playing in the heat of the late morning on a field beginning to dry and crack, Rabbit Hop Films recorded another convincing victory, defeating Cogan’s Agronomy 3-0 to continue their unbeaten run this season.
