NSW Farmers’ is bringing a series of events to the Moree district to assist the farming community with telecommunications issues, as well as new changes to workplace laws.
This month, NSW Farmers will host a telecommunications roadshow in the region with Gwydir Shire Council, Regional Tech Hub, Telstra and NBN to share information and possible solutions to telecommunications issues.
Guest speakers will include Ian George and Michael Marom from Telstra; David Crough from NBN; Jennifer Medway from Regional Tech Hub; Gwydir Shire Council mayor Tiffany Galvin and NSW Farmers’ regional services manager, Mick Collins.
Sessions will be held at Upper Horton, Bingara and Warialda next Tuesday, September 9, and at Gravesend, Croppa Creek and North Star on Wednesday, September 10.

Later this month, NSW Farmers will also host a series of free workshops to provide an update on changes to workplace relations laws that affect farm businesses.
This includes recent changes resulting from amendments to employment legislation and modern awards, with the sessions to also provide refreshers on correct processes around engaging workers, including pay arrangements and documentation necessary for compliance.
The workshops will be held on Monday, September 15 at Glen Innes and Armidale; Tuesday, September 16 at Tamworth and Merriwa; Wednesday, September 17 at Gunnedah and Wee Waa; and Thursday, September 18 at Walgett and Moree.
