RECENT localised rainfall has caused significant river level rises along the Barwon and Moonie Rivers upstream of Mogil Mogil where minor flooding is possible early next week.
BoM will refine forecasts once upstream peaks are observed.
BoM: Minor flood warning for Barwon River at Mogil Mogil

Barwon River Mungindi to Collarenebri:
Minor flooding may occur along the Barwon River from Mungindi to Collarenebri.
The Barwon River at Mungindi is currently at 4.13 metres and rising, below minor flood level (6.10 m).
The river level is expected to remain below the minor flood level.
The Barwon River at Mogil Mogil is currently at 4.50 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (7.50m).
The Barwon River at Mogil Mogil may reach the minor flood level early next week.

Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.
