POLICE are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a business in Moree overnight.
About 1:45am on Thursday, November 14, police were called to a service station on Blueberry Road, near Moree airport, following reports of an armed robbery.
Officers attached to New England Police District attended and were told an unknown male – armed with a firearm and wearing all black, with his face covered – entered a business and threatened two employees, a 22-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man.
The aggressor demanded money, before running from the scene with cash.
No one was physically injured in the incident.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As inquiries continue, police are appealing for information to identify an unknown male.
He is described as being approximately 180cm tall, medium build, wearing all black.
He was seen running from the scene towards the Newell Highway.

Also in Moree, a woman is due in court for allegedly trespassing in a motel earlier this month.
Police were called to a motel on Alice Street about 12.30am on Sunday, November 3, following reports of a break-and-enter.
Officers attached to New England Police District arrived and were told a group of people had attempted to enter multiple rooms at the motel.
Inquiries revealed one woman had knocked on several doors before leaving. Police could find no evidence of anyone else, other than guests, at the motel.
Following investigations, a 41-year-old woman was arrested about 11pm on Tuesday, November 12 and taken to Moree Police Station.
The woman has been charged with enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse.
Police issued the woman a future court attendance notice to appear Moree Local Court on Monday, January 6, 2025.
